Biography

Researcher with experience in agroeconomy and agribusiness studies, with an emphasis on analysis of family farming and rural agribusiness systems that involve the valorization of agricultural products through conditioning and transformation processes. In alliance with Latin American and European research groups, we contribute to developing the concept and approach of "Localized Agrifood Systems" as a viable strategy for rural development in areas of peasant economies of relatively less developed countries. Currently, we are working on developing eco-efficient technological options for prevention and adaptation so that small agricultural producers can face variability and climate change; In addition, we are contributing to the structuring of a strategy in AGROSAVIA to evaluate the adoption and impact of technologies for the agricultural sector.
